The Structural Relationship of Transdiagnostic Factors with Dimensions of Personality Pathology

Abstract
Introduction: The aim of this research was examining Structural Relationships of Transdiagnostic Factors) adverse childhood experiences, insecure attachment patterns, emotion dysregulation, interpersonal problems, dysfunctional attitude ( with dimensions of personality pathology.

Method: The method of this research was correlational. The study community included college students,531 participant who were selected by Convenience random sampling. Research questionnaires included: Personality Inventory for DSM5 Brief Form Plus, Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, The Inventory of Interpersonal Problems, Dysfunctional Attitude Scale, Adult Attachment Questionnaire. Statistical analysis was done by Smart PLS and spss23.

Results: Results indicated that there was significant correlation between dimensions of personality pathology. with childhood maltreatment(0/27), insecure attachment patterns(0/51) and interpersonal problems(0/44) (p<0.001). Also adverse childhood experiences was mediated relationship between dimensions of personality pathology with pathological beliefs and was mediated between personality pathology dimensions and emotion dysregulation. Insecure attachment patterns mediated relationships between dimensions of personality pathology and interpersonal problems.

Discussion and Conclusion: Identifying abnormal aspects of personality and preventing the formation of insecure attachment and adverse childhood experiences can keep people away from all kinds of mental disorders.
