Background: The aim of the present study was to determine the relationship between thought-action fusion and anxiety sensitivity with women's sexual functioning, through obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms.
Method: There fore, 378 married female students from University of Tabriz were selected using a multi-stage random sampling method. Data were collected using the Rosen Women's Sexual Functioning Questionnaire, the Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale, the Thought-Action Fusion Scale by Rachman and Shafran, and the Anxiety Sensitivity Index by Reiss. After statistical calculations using AMOS24 software and Structural equation metod.
Results: The results indicated that the measured model had a good fit with the theoretical model, and obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms mediated the relationship between thought-action fusion, anxiety sensitivity, and women's sexual functioning. Additionally, the findings showed a significant negative relationship between anxiety sensitivity and women's sexual functioning, as well as between obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms and women's sexual functioning. There were also significant positive relationships between thought-action fusion and women's sexual functioning, as well as between thought-action fusion and obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms, as well as between anxiety sensitivity and obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms. hence,
Conclusion: it can be concluded that reducing levels of anxiety sensitivity, thought-action fusion, and obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms may improve women's sexual functioning.
